Be a thought-leader for your team and others, proposing and building investments in automation frameworks and tools, to drive improvements and efficiencies across the larger test engineering org.
Transform the current workflow to make more scalable, implement a model under which efficiency and automation goals greatly exceed existing industry norms, and develop / regularly report on department growth and performance metrics with builds operational efficiency.
Increase effectiveness of test engineering team by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement through people and tools/technology.
Manage commitments and prioritization in an Agile environment involving many concurrent projects of various sizes, frequent, iterative releases and routine changes in direction and prioritization in response to business needs.
Manage across a matrix of teams, coordinating testing for larger integrated projects across partner teams
Hire and mentor outstanding, top-notch test engineers, and develop the team
Develop quarterly objectives for team, aligning with roadmap and overall departmental vision.
Assess and manage team performance through regular staff meetings, one on ones and quarterly assessments.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Business, Program Management) to achieve this vision and strategy that ensure a seamless user experience.
Provide technical expertise and leadership throughout product life cycles
Job Requirements
Experience in Java and object oriented programming languages and managing high caliber engineers.
Experience working in matrix organization with complex release methodologies.
Experience in Software Quality Engineering with in-depth working knowledge of test methodologies
Highly proficient with test automation tools & Framework Development, executing test methodologies for complex online applications in service oriented architecture
Experience working with and managing test engineering teams with the expertise to leverage technology to achieve business goals.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with capability to process high amount of data to drive business strategies and decisions
BA/BS in Computer Science and/or 5+ years relevant work experience
3+ years relevant work experience managing fast-paced and dynamic engineering teams.
