Job Title: Canadian Salesforce Storyteller - Editor and Writer
Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile, proven creative writer who will help craft our Canadian customer story narrative, celebrating their success, and generate compelling content for our growing Canadian audiences. Your writing will be published across a variety of channels including our website, social media, blog posts, marketing campaigns, internal presentations, video and more - you’ll reach thousands of people every day. This is a unique opportunity to tell stories that attract new prospects, engage current customers and convey why salesforce.com is one of the most innovative companies in the world.
Within the Canadian Marketing team you will partner with multiple stakeholders including sales, communications, campaigns and events. You will need to be able to prioritize a rapid flow of requests, deliver error-free content and prove the ROI on your projects. Our highly collaborative team will be there for you with great ideas and encouraging support, and we’ll expect the same back from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with salespeople from across the country, to ID innovative, relevant, customer centric stories about our customers leverage our marketing leading products to power their success
- Demonstrate your sharp customer interviewing skills to get to the compelling story, showcasing the innovation created by our amazing customers
- Hone writing skills under experienced director with marketing and online experience
- Impact thousands of salesforce.ca site visitors with your web marketing copy, email campaigns, and video scripts
- Expand social media experience by contributing content to the salesforce.com blog, and social media channels
- Be a key partner in the Marketing team to help drive a variety of testimonial and reference activities, including speaking ops, marketing campaigns and PR initatives
- Become a brand expert by aligning with the corporate brand strategy, and ensuring all Canadian storytelling communications are consistent with the overall salesforce.com messaging
- Track competitors and measure our success compared to them
Minimum Qualifications- Either graduating or in the last year of a Bachelor’s Degree from University
- Marketing, PR or Journalism focus
- Excellent written, verbal and visual storytelling capabilities
- Exceptional capability to determine goals for each project/request and stay aligned to strategic priorities, while being agile/flexible enough to move tactics forward instantaneously
- Proven ability to work independently and manage the day-to-day programs and projects, as well as effectively collaborate with and persuade/influence others
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with blogging platforms, presentation and visual storytelling software including PPT
- Web publishing and social media posting expertise
- Strong interviewing and ghostwriting skills
