Channel Account Manager

Austria, AT - Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Information Technology and Services

The Channel Account Manager will be responsible for selling company products, systems and services in assigned territory through Commercial Distribution to the indirect sales channels such as VARs and retailer.



• At this level, supports large complex accounts.



• Analyzes and leverages industry, competitor and market data to set Channel Strategy with Regional Manager.



• Gains access and manages relationships with senior level executives.



• Identifies business trends and leverages strengths of the channel to create a differentiated offering and position Dell to capture business.



• Interfaces directly with customers to ensure satisfaction with Dell solutions.



• Establishes Distributor performance goals and metrics to drive execution.



• Conducts informal coaching sessions with Distributors internal teams and channel partners.



• Provides insight and thought leadership to customers and Channel partners to create and leverage strategic partnership through Distribution.



• Expert channel manager with experience working with Commercial Distributors.



• At times, leveraged to coach/mentor others.



• Anticipates channel needs beyond existing scope of Dell products and services.



• Identifies cost effective and practical alternatives for the channel by bundling products/service “solutions” to maximize Dell’s opportunity while meeting customer’s needs.



• Provides team leadership on large, complex opportunities.



Qualifications




  • Fluent in German and English a necessity.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Proven record of working with commercial Distributors and Channel resellers (VARs/Retailers/Etailers).

  • Full clean driving licence.
