The Google for Work team is on the front lines of helping the globe "go Google."  As a Google for Work Direct Sales representative, you evangelize Google tools like Apps, Search and Chrome to leading companies, schools and government agencies. This is a front-line customer-facing role responsible for the “first touch” a potential prospect will receive from the Google cloud platform team. As the Market Development representative, you will liaise and collaborate cross-functionally with sales teams, partner management and marketing for optimum account coverage and penetration in the targeted regional territory with the ultimate goal of driving qualified pipeline for the sales team.



Responsibilities


  • Work jointly with sales counterparts in profiling and ranking accounts for technology/market fit

  • Establish coverage and engage senior level of business and IT executives in key target accounts.

  • Implement key outreach techniques to generate introductory meetings with key decision makers on behalf of field account team and develop strong market/vertical/account knowledge to effectively engage key decision maker

  • Develop and execute creative campaigns to the existing client and prospect base and develop the targeted campaign approach with a solution focused message





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in sales, market/business development at a high-tech company (SaaS experience).

  • CRM experience e.g. Salesforce.

  • Business level communication in Japanese and English.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in managing complex, global and cross functional projects with strong project management skills.

  • Role related knowledge e.g. front line “inbound/outbound” demand management from a prior role.

  • Good understanding of the technology market, and a strong interest in Cloud Computing.

  • Highly analytical, with a strong lean for data and metrics to drive business decisions.

  • Excellent organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
