Your expertise of Google's products and our partners' businesses allow you to identify new opportunities for their growth, launch new products, and expand the impact of our clients' work. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to work effectively with Google's partners, in order to best represent our users, products and programs and drive growth.



Google Apps is driving growth through innovative partnerships and as Strategic Partner Manager, you will be the primary relationship manager for Google Apps’ key strategic partners. You will execute go-to-market strategies, develop sales and marketing initiatives, and manage partner growth. You will manage a portfolio of strategic partners and represent Google Apps internally and externally to senior leadership. Additionally, you will resolve business issues and track/analyze key metrics to identify trends and growth opportunities.



Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking are critical as you help our partners define the plan to bring Google Apps to market. You bring proven experience managing large partnerships, sales acumen, the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues, and strong attention to detail. You possess superior analytical skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Legal teams to develop new ways to drive Google for Work growth.



Responsibilities


  • Manage relationships for strategic partners focusing on driving growth in partners’ Apps business and enable strategic partners through tools, training and ongoing strategy support.

  • Develop a business plan and growth strategy with partners; build an accurate forecast and achieve business goals.

  • Lead the implementation of various initiatives cross-functionally (marketing, sales engineering, account management, training) to identify growth opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for partners.

  • Represent the partner internally and Google Apps externally with strategic partner management.

  • Lead ad hoc projects, both internally and externally, focusing on the strategic growth of the program.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of work experience in partner management, business development, small to medium-sized business/online sales and/or strategic management consulting.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • MBA/MS degree.

  • Experience in SaaS, telecommunications, and/or IT infrastructure businesses. Strong understanding of Google products.

  • Track record of developing creative solutions that result in strategic partnership growth. Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally. Leadership skills to drive partner growth and positively contribute to the team’s culture.

  • Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel 20-30%.
