Strategic Partnerships Manager, Google Play Promotions (Americas)

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Armed with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.



As a Strategic Partner Manager for Google Play, you will be responsible for leading our promotional user acquisition marketing initiatives in the Americas. A self-starter and entrepreneur by nature, you'll partner closely with our consumer marketing and product teams, open doors with potential partners, build long lasting relationships, lead exploratory discussions, evaluate opportunities, negotiate and lead the overall development and execution of campaigns in your region. You will also drive insights into product evolution by identifying and internally evangelizing enhanced feature sets relevant for your markets. Your job will involve both strategic, long-term planning as well as daily iterative execution.



Responsibilities


  • Establish relationships with key partners in your markets.

  • Work with the Consumer Marketing team and other relevant teams within Google to identify opportunities to collaborate.

  • Develop promotional campaign plans with our third-party partners.

  • Manage partners post launch, ensuring their needs are met while building the foundation for repeat engagement.

  • Forecast business growth, marketing value and other key metrics; track actual progress toward forecasts and report results.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of relevant experience (e.g., partner marketing, partner management, etc.).

  • Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineering, Implementation, Legal, Finance, Marketing, etc.).

  • Project management experience.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • MBA degree.

  • Experience creating marketing campaigns.

  • A proven track record of negotiation and execution, including extensive experience identifying partners and analyzing and structuring agreements.

  • Ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to drive conversations between Business, Legal, Technical and Finance teams within Google and with our partners’ teams.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
