As a Consulting Project Director, you will work as a member of a cloud the Cloud Portfolio Project Management consulting team to solve business and technical problems for prospective clients and customers. As a member of a project team, you will follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations/data and provide quality work products to deliver functional and technical solutions on cloud solutions.
You will uncover and understand customer goals and challenges and align Oracle’s cloud portfolio to enable optimal solutions. You will develop and deliver high quality presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features and benefits, and configure and test overall Oracle solutions that meet or exceed customer needs. You will also have the opportunity to participate in sales cycles for existing and potential customers.
This is a challenging, exciting role that will test your consulting skills, strategic thinking, technical skills and ability to remain focused and follow-through on plans. You won’t be alone; we will provide the tools, raw data, training, coaching and people resources to help you be successful.
Preferred Qualifications:
- This director position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given project portfolio which can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region
- Responsibilities include people management, project oversight, and sales enablement
- 10+ years of experience relevant to this position, including 2 years of project or direct line management experience.
- Must have managed ERP Applications related projects from Inception to Production
- Must have managed multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have led and participated in sales pursuits and RFP process
- Must have strong communication skills and must be comfortable presenting in front of customers
- Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity
- Comfortable working in a matrix management environment
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors
- Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus
- Selling skills preferred
- Ability to travel as needed onsite or deliver solutions remotely
Responsibilities
- Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve portfolio performance in support of strategic objectives
- Accountable for fulfilling business goals, meeting budgets, maintaining project/portfolio profitability while ensuring quality of project delivery and maintaining customer referenceability
- Responsible for solutions and pricing of proposals and supporting the sales process
- Is accountable for managing a significant and profitable revenue stream
- Typically manages multiple project/program managers and/or senior level individual contributors
- May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements
- All candidates must be legally entitled to work in the US and able to commute to the local office daily.
