Join a growing and dynamic team to develop and test our next-generation cloud storage service. The Oracle Public Cloud team is developing a new web-scale infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offering, focused on cloud storage. Our system moves a huge amount of data. The ideal candidate has experience working with complex software systems and pushing those systems beyond their limits.

 

Location: Santa Clara (CA).

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Candidates will have great engineering challenges and will be responsible for hands on design and development. As a member of the software engineering team, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of our product line. You will responsible for

 

• Design and develop large scale distributed systems on the Oracle Public Cloud
• Design and develop cloud storage services and gateway

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking seasoned engineers with:

• 8+ years of working experience in production, online service or cloud service architecture design and development
• Experience in building fault tolerant, large scale and  highly-available distributed systems and services
• Proficiency and significant experience in Java, python and shell scripting
• Ability to troubleshoot across systems and cloud services
• Knowledge of cloud compute technologies, virtualization, Docker and Container a plus
• Experience with agile based iterative development and knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Strong communication in both oral and written
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
