As a Cloud Platform Earned Awareness Marketer, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
We’re looking for an experienced brand leader with a strong creative portfolio and excellent communication skills to help develop and lead earned awareness for Google Cloud Platform. In this role you’ll need to understand and develop inspiring campaigns for a diverse audience of developers, and IT and business leaders. You’ll be a collaborative global leader, with great stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner with product, engineering, executive leadership, sales and across the marketing team.
You’ll lead the global earned awareness strategy for our large enterprise business, including content development and storytelling, social marketing, executive speaking, and thought leadership and brand messaging. You’ll manage creative agencies to develop new global campaigns and tell inspiring customer and product stories. In this role, you’ll be expected to be a doer as well as a thinker, who does not settle for the expected and conventional.

Responsibilities
- Lead earned awareness strategy for Google Apps for Work across all earned channels.
- Own and track success metrics.
- Tell inspiring customer stories across a variety of formats.
- Own creative briefs, agency selection and agency management to produce inspiring, groundbreaking creative.
- Measure brand awareness and sentiment and customer insights.
Minimum qualifications
- 7 years of experience at a creative interactive agency or in-house brand team.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience launching and developing brands using traditional and digital media, closely working with brand/creative agencies to develop ground-breaking global campaigns (digital and mobile marketing experience).
- Experience driving brand and social strategy and a collaborative leadership style with a focus on strong relationship building skills.
- Strong project and agency management skills and experience, including writing briefs, selecting, onboarding and managing external creative agencies across a wide range of assets and formats.
- Ability to comfortably interface with all levels of management and to communicate cross-functionally in a structured and clear manner to influence outcomes.
- Smart, bold, and accessible sense of design with excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong communication and messaging skills with a passion for inspiring storytelling, and a strong sense of the Google brand and voice.
