Returns/Warranty Program Manager, Special Projects

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.



Responsibilities


  • Develop financial scenario planning models across the entire life cycle of hardware products and programs.

  • Develop and implement requirements for managing end-of-life process for a hardware product that includes end-of-sale, end-of-support, and end-of-service. Ensure correct partner selection and performance management to service policy/process.

  • Serve as the primary lead for designated product group to support/drive their supply chain activities. Manage consolidated returns policies and develop associated processes. Establish product recovery channel.

  • Coordinate data collection and analysis efforts throughout the supply chain. Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for planning processes and systems.





  • Minimum Qualifications



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of relevant work experience, including experience in Sales Operations/Warranty Policy and Support/Returns Management/Partner Management.





  • Preferred Qualifications



  • Masters or similar advanced degree.

  • Experience in developing Warranty Policies and support structure while evaluating financial and customer impact.

  • Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget.

  • Distinctive analytical and creative skills to solve problems that may not have a historical precedent or have multiple answers.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources.
