Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an experienced business intelligence / information management IT professional to fill the position of Data Architect III to support its headquarters operations. The Data Warehouse Architect III is a senior member of information management services team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying effective enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and business intelligence (BI) solutions on Teradata and Microsoft SQL server platforms for HFHI. This individual will be responsible for the logical and physical data model design and implementation. In addition, this position is responsible for driving the design and analyzing discussions to determine the best database design to satisfy functional requirements for advancing the maturity of the organization's enterprise data warehouse capabilities. This position will be located at the administrative headquarters office in Atlanta, GA.




Responsibilities include:


*Develop logical and physical data model using ERwin


*Provide Teradata Database Administration expertise


*Design and develop processes in support of building out a scalable data warehouse environment


*Maintain the organization’s database system to comply with best practices for desired outcome to include current and accurate data *Monitor the database system in order to guarantee optimal performance and proactively recommend corrective actions when issue are identified

*Assess and improve database performance through analysis and fine-tuning


*Improve query performance


*Organize, plan for, and manage the audit function


*Support and troubleshoot existing databases (Teradata, Access, SQL, etc.) and database objects (users, roles, tables, views, macros, stored procedures, etc.)


*Work with the enterprise data warehouse and functional users to understand the Habitat business model to ensure the data warehouse is representative of that business model


*Provide input into standards and “best practices” related to metadata management, modeling/model management, data stewardship, data integration, and data administration


*Document data reporting needs based on input from employees in various parts of the organization


*Assist with documentation of policies and procedures and monitor the adherence to the policies and procedures
