Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain tools to manage network security policy (ACLs, FW)
- Develop and maintain tools to collect and analyze host/network security posture information
- Develop and maintain tools to apply and enforce security policy
- Develop and maintain tools to automate user/permission management
- Develop and maintain automation and configuration management tools
- Develop and maintain tools to automate periodic security audit tasks
Required Skills/Experience:
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, or related major
- Experience working Linux/Unix environments
- Experience developing tools involving network communications
- Experience with Java, Ruby, or Python
Desired Skills/Experience
- Prior internship experience or extensive class projects
- Experience developing secure web-based tools
- Proficiency in systems administration on UNIX-based operating systems (RH Linux)
- Agile Development Best Practices
- Familiarity with network security concepts (ACLs, firewall policy, etc)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix security concepts (user/file permissions, security settings, etc)
- Knowledge of Network & Systems Management best practices
- Experience working within structured change management processes for highly available systems
- Excellent written and communication skills
