CAD Draft Technician

As a member of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, you use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems. As a mechanical engineer, you participate in the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts. You work in a manufacturing and product oriented development environment and collaborate with vendors and outside sources in order to see parts through to manufacture.
As a CAD Draft Technician, you will shape the future by helping to design products that harness the power of Google to delight and inspire millions of people worldwide. You are collaborative, incorporating the input of engineers and product designers into detailed technical drawings. You approach challenges from many angles and create refreshing new approaches. Responsibilities
- Create detailed CAD schematics that are utilized in the manufacturing of consumer electronic devices.
- Create 3D models as well as 2D drawings.
- Create and contribute to a great design team culture. Stay inspired and inspire the people around you!
Minimum qualifications
- Associate degree in computer drafting and design or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of professional CAD drafting experience.
- Expertise in core modeling, master model and skeleton techniques.
- Experience in Pro/Engineer (Pro-E) 3D software.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in using PDM/PLM CAD integration platforms such as Windchill/Teamcenter.
- Proficient in NX 3D modeling software.
- Deep understanding of ASME Y14.5-2009 GD&T standard.
- Proven ability to work within constraints as well as challenge constraints.
- Proven ability to thrive within a fast-paced design and prototyping cycle.
