· Manages the hiring, staffing, maintaining and development of a diverse and effective workforce



· Supervise and guide the development of global sourcing strategies for a given set of hardware categories



· Create and executive multi-year vision to maximize value capture in the categories for Dell through initiatives



· Drive senior level engagement with business partners on potential suppliers, projected costs, supply-side risk, and compliance issues during the development of the products



· Lead, develop and manage Supplier Relationship



· Develops supplier strategy, long-range plans, global supply chain optimization, and builds supplier relationships for several commodity areas or spend categories, in partnership with business partners



· Drives cross-functional strategic/operational commodity teams to drive Dell towards a competitive advantage in the market place in specific areas such as Time-to-Market, Availability/Capacity, Continuity of Supply, Cost, Quality, Technology and Service Level



· Responsible for setting and achieving performance goals/metrics to improve total delivered/lifecycle value in regards to commodity cost, quality, technology and/or services



· Responsible for implementing procurement initiatives and process improvements, and for getting feedback from regions on the success of Dell’s global procurement programs



· Be the escalation point for areas of conflict with external suppliers and internal stake holders



Qualifications



Required



· Strong procurement background in the IT market with experience in, but not limited to, the following functions: Product Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, IT Leadership, IT Sourcing, Supply Chain Management or Industry Consulting



· 4-year college degree with multiple years of relevant business experience and an advanced degree and/or MBA



· 4-10 years of experience including experience leading and managing teams



· Strong business acumen balanced with technical aptitude



· Core procurement experience in the areas of negotiations, complex contracting, stakeholder management and sourcing strategy development



· Drive for results



· Effectively managing the team



Preferred



· Analytical and problem solving skills



· Great presentation skills



· Experience influencing stakeholders across wide and complex organizations
