Program Management Director

Candidate will be expected to design, build and support an overall Process Excellence Program utilizing the Lean Six Sigma methodologies that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement and provides a steady stream of improvement opportunities/cost savings to the Enterprise Solutions Business Quality & Customer Experience organization. The individual will bring expertise and experience, along with strong influencing and relationship building skills to promote a unified and accountable Continuous Improvement mindset to improve operations both across the Enterprise Solutions business unit and the value chain.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Establish the organization's Process Excellence Six Sigma Program.
- Lead the organization towards a shared Process Excellence vision and mission.
- Collaborate with stakeholder areas to ensure that process improvement programs and projects are deployed in alignment with Dell and the Enterprise Solutions BU overall strategic objectives.
- Drive process improvement initiatives with a focus on the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at reducing costs and/or improve process yields in terms of output or quality.
- Develop, deploy and monitor the Performance Scorecard, Metrics and Targets for the Process Excellence Program.
- Plan, manage, and guide the activities of a team that provides operational support for the Enterprise Solutions BU.
- Lead the development and implementation of a Policy Framework that governs the program.
- Lead the development of Training Materials needed to run the program.
- Deploy a Training Program to develop a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Deploy a Coaching Framework to ensure that projects get delivered and closed.
- Identify and overcome threats/dangers/barriers to successful implementations.
- Champion and communicate the program successes, progress, best practices, products etc.
Scope and Impact
- Development of a program that reaches across all areas of the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit that affect Business Quality & Customer Experience to instill a culture of continuous improvement and equips leaders with the tool sets to provide continuous improvement.
- Training, coaching, leading individuals and leaders from various functional areas to enable partnerships that deliver the desired outcome.
QualificationsEducation- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred with a technical or business operations background
Professional Experience- Must be a Six Sigma Black Belt with a minimum of 5 years experience, including Lean Continuous Improvement experience
- Proficient in methodologies such as Lean, DMAIC, DFSS
- Having successfully coached to completion Six Sigma projects and an experienced deployment leader with a track record of successes in a Business Operations arena.
- Extensive experience training and coaching six sigma with strong EXCEL skills and an accomplished user of statistical software tool(s).
- Extensive experience operating in large matrixed organizations and teams and influencing at all levels.
- Exceptional ability to influence and lead individuals at all levels and from all functional areas.
