The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company. You listen to and translate Googler needs into high-level technical specifications, design and develop recommended systems and consult with Google executives to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our homegrown suite of Google products for Googlers themselves, you help Googlers work faster and more efficiently.



Responsibilities


  • Design and develop data warehouse solutions for highly complex business operations.

  • Develop, test and deploy new data pipelines to support customer requirements. Fix defects and implement enhancements in existing pipelines; Monitor and support existing pipelines.

  • Partner with users, platform, application and support teams on support issues, process issues, bug fixes and delivery of enhancements.

  • Address operational issues including planned outages, disaster recovery testing, etc.

  • Monitor and report Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. Identify platform dependencies and work with platform teams to develop and test new features.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in designing and developing data integration/data warehousing/business intelligence solutions.

  • Programming skills in Java





  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with BI tools like Tableau

  • Experience and proficiency in ETL tools like Pentaho Kettle, Informatica and/or DataStage.

  • Outstanding SQL scripting skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
