The Business Development Consultant will be the face of CTU to external businesses for Colorado Technical University’s Education Alliance Center and represents the entire range of CTU “productized” services and benefits. Their primary focus areas include:
- Business Growth - Develop and contract new relationships within targeted assigned Southeast population/markets (50-70% of focus)
- Surface needs and establish client expectations to form B2B agreements to achieve quota
- Manage and nurture leads using the identified lead cycle to achieve activity requirements for face to face meetings and other sales pipeline activities
- Business Advancement - Develop and advance existing relationships within targeted assigned population/markets; through client relationship evaluation techniques and methods to continue to deepen the B2B relationship (30-50% of focus)
- Oversee the “activation” of accounts on an on-going basis and manages to yield year over year expansion and enhanced relationship
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
B2B Growth:
- Identifies, prospects, and qualifies new client opportunities, promoting the value of CTU educational products and solutions for the company and its employees.
- Meets assigned targets for quota performance and strategic objectives in assigned accounts and prospects.
Establish B2B agreements:
- Negotiates agreements for services, programs, and pricing within assigned customer/prospect base.
Lead Nurturing:
- Executes against established client prospecting and client lifecycle plan within assigned account base
Meets quotas for new customer contracts and current customer communication plans
Business Advancement:
Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
Account Activation and Management
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Drives and maintains high customer service levels within assigned account base
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Develops and executes monthly, quarterly and annual business plan for each assigned account
