As a salesforce.com Senior Technical Consultant (STC), your job is to directly collaborate with our most strategic customers and partners to share your comprehensive knowledge of the Force.com platform, its extensibility, and integration capabilities. Combined with your previous experience in implementation, and ability to understand and solve business problems, you will directly drive the best possible design and deployment of groundbreaking business solutions that meet and exceed our customers’ needs.



Role Overview:



The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for identifying, defining, and prescribing functional and technical solutions to support complex business process and enterprise architecture requirements. This responsibility includes applying best practices, managing client expectations, collaboration of solution approaches, and positioning implementations for ongoing success.

The STC leverages his/her deep salesforce.com product and platform knowledge and enterprise level software development experience to ensure project delivery success and overall customer satisfaction as it relates to the project.

The STC will often be called on to perform complex Expert Services reviews, and remediate complex, at risk implementations to include the review of programmatic customizations, integration and middleware implementations, and/or performance tuning.

Responsibilities:



• Work closely with Functional and Technical Solution Architects and directly with clients to architect and implement technology solutions to meet client needs.

• Use and enforce sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions; Self-sufficient in producing quality deliverables

• Have ownership of the development from end to end and be responsible for documenting a technical solution based on project requirements and industry best practices; Conduct code reviews for the team.

• Identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice and teammates; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical salesforce.com and partner colleagues

• Should be able to understand Agile and Hybrid models of development.

• Should be able to create all forms of technical documentation.

• Building relationships with business partners, internal and external, and contributing to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single or your current project.

• Work collaboratively and have very strong communication skills, especially in teaching complex concepts and creative, prescriptive thinking.

• Self manage time for project tasks



Experience/Skills Required:



• 5-8 years of development experience, including implementation experience with Force.com technology, and management of more junior technical resources; experience with Waterfall and/or Agile implementation methodologies

• Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, data modeling and database architecture

• Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases.

• A thorough understanding of Web Services, data modeling, and enterprise application integration concepts, including experience with Enterprise Integration tools such as ESBs and/or ETL tools, and common design patterns with specific boundary systems (e.g. CMS, ERP, HRIS, DWH/DM)

• Team player with strong listening and interpersonal skills; strong desire to take on constructive feedback/coaching and make definitive changes; self-awareness and the ability to adapt communication and interaction styles to best suit an audience, situation, or desired outcome

• Conceptual knowledge of and how to integrate to social and other emerging technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, Radian6, Ruby, Heroku, Node.js, and especially mobile/tablet platform incorporation strategies and technologies

• Knowledge of key collaboration concepts including unified messaging, unified communication architecture, communication enabled business processes, enterprise mobility, blogging, micro blogging, chat, presence and integrated solutions

• Demonstrated desire and action in learning new technologies and staying current on existing ones, pursuing experience and certifications in leading edge or primary technology areas.

• Detail and quality oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
