This role requires a passion for creating social change through the use of technology and an ability to work in a flexible, independent and proactive way to meet agreed goals and targets.
Responsibilities:
- Evangelize Salesforce technology and its value & benefits to the nonprofit sector
- Build and execute a robust marketing and events strategy to promote the product donation & discount program as well as our integrated philanthropy model
- Work closely with the Nonprofit Sales Account Executive to facilitate nonprofit sales
- Generate and maintain a healthy pipeline of nonprofits wanting to receive donated & discounted product
- Manage the queue of nonprofits requesting licenses; from qualification for the for the program through to account activation
- Establish strategic partnerships with nonprofits and other relevant stakeholders for wider product distribution
- Drive technology adoption and ensure nonprofit success through established training and other innovative methods
- Build and manage a healthy ecosystem of partners, ambassadors, skilled volunteers, user groups etc to fuel growth and success of nonprofit users
- Grow and manage the ‘Power of Us’ partner program
- Recruit, manage and support in-country employee-run Foundation Councils
- Develop and manage a successful pro bono volunteer program to support the Salesforce nonprofit user community
- Implement global Foundation programs as appropriate locally, while remaining consistent with the organization’s overall vision;
- Manage administrative systems for recording volunteer hours and contributing photos and written materials to the blog, website, Annual Report and other publications
- Ensure all paperwork and payment details are correctly processed for all grant making
GENERAL
- Take responsibility for all administration, financial and other reporting as relevant to the role;
- Share the Foundation’s model of philanthropy with customers, partners and philanthropy sector;
- Be the key Foundation representative and spokesperson and pursue opportunities for public speaking, promotion of our model, partnerships and media coverage;
- Develop strategies with the Salesforce Marketing and PR teams to promote and grow all the Foundation’s programs.
Required Skills:
The preferred candidate will have:
- proven ability to self-manage;
- proven ability to multi-task and meet goals to tight deadlines;
- a passion for technology and its role in accelerating social change;
- in-depth understanding of the nonprofit sector in Australia and fair understanding of the sector in priority countries India and Singapore;
- sound understanding of social issues, challenges faced by nonprofit sector and areas of community impact;
- experience of running volunteer or community programs;
- ability to manage interns and employee Councils in distributed locations and sensitivity to related cultures;
- excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills;
- confidence interacting at many levels, from senior company executives to grassroots nonprofits;
- a flexible approach to working hours and locations;
- the ability to work collaboratively within a global team;
- good presentation and representational skills,
- some knowledge of international corporate social responsibility and an understanding of the Foundation’s role within a wider international context of corporate philanthropy
- knowledge of cloud computing, salesforce.com products and applications
- SaaS experience would be an advantage
