STAFF SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER
The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization at LinkedIn fills the mission-critical role of ensuring that our complex, web-scale systems are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. As the development arm of SRE, the Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining crucial infrastructure which enables SRE to successfully operate and monitor one of the world's largest and most well-known social networks. We're building world-class self-service metrics gathering, monitoring, and visualization systems, robust remote execution and configuration management frameworks, and many other key tools and platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Expert knowledge of one or more of: Python (preferred), Perl, Ruby, Java, C.
· Deep UNIX/Linux systems knowledge and/or systems administration background.
· Strong troubleshooting skills that span systems, network, and code.
· Broad understanding of Internet protocols and network programming.
· Experience designing and operating critical web services.
· Excellent communication skills, initiative, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Significant experience with large-scale monitoring and alerting systems.
· Experience with Python web frameworks and application design.
· Broad experience with multiple types of database management systems (relational, document-oriented, key-value).
· Good RESTful API and systems design sensibilities.
· Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery).
· Experience with general performance tuning and optimization of all aspects of platforms and services (systems, network, code).
