Job Description



Dell Services Federal Government (DSFG) is looking for a Java Software Developer to support one of our customers located in Washington, DC. The individual selected for this position will work closely with the customer to satisfy rapidly emerging Java development requirements. This assignment mixes Oracle design skills (e.g., WebLogic, Fusion, ADF, etc.) with Java development skills to construct innovative solutions for the ATF. The candidate should have prior, hands-on working experience with jDeveloper 11g, Oracle11g ADF, Oracle11g SOA Suite, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle OBIEE, and should have outstanding Java development skills. This individual will be able to work onsite for a one year assignment in a fast paced environment and will have excellent communication skills.



Candidate(s) selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customers information. Candidates who already have a DoD Secret clearance are preferable.



Required Skills



Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearence



-Oracle 11g, PL/SQL programmer,Oracle JDeveloper 11g,JDK 1.6.0_24 (or higher)

-6 years experience creating functional and technical design specifications that support business requirements

-6 years of strong and recent programming skills in Java, Ruby on Rails or advanced query/data manipulation languages in support of Big Data

-6 years experience in relational database design and SQL, preferably Oracle, or nosql databases like Hadoop and Cassandra

-6 years strong skills in various user interface development (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, Ext JS) using various frameworks (e.g. Spring, Struts, Hadoop)

-6 years of success in and strong desire to quickly ramp-up on new technologies

-6 years of excellent technical trouble-shooting skills in areas relevant to software application architecture

-6 years experience in operating in an development environment controlled by a team-shared software configuration management system (e.g. subversion) supporting multiple operating environments (e.g. development, testing, production)



Desired Skills



Experience with open-source tools that automate both unit and regression testing (e.g. junit, Selenium)

Experience with continuous integration and open source tools that support it (Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Git)

Experience with Amazon Web Services and APIs supporting the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud

Experience with web/application server configuration, primarily Apache HTTP/Tomcat

Experience with writing (or rewriting) stateless web applications/web services

Experience with Unix/Linux commands (i.e. shell scripting)



Education



Bachelors degree in computer science or a technical field
