Product Manager, Security and Privacy

San Francisco Bay Area, US - Information Technology and Services, Internet

As a Security and Privacy Product Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- Understanding the threat landscape and abuse trends within the social consumer web environment

- Helping to identify attackers’ latest tools and tactics and focusing our existing systems to best counter these attacks

- Authoring functional specs and business requirements related to systems and features to detect and stop abuse and fraud on our platform.

- Working closely with security investigators and data analysts to monitor and identify patterns of attack/abuse.

- Defining and implementing user and content policies to prevent abuse and attacks

- Partnering with engineering on design and implementation of scalable detection technologies and services.

- Evangelism across team boundaries to ensure appropriate adoption and implementation of latest security and abuse detection technologies across LinkedIn’s member facing feature set.



A successful candidate will have:

- Experience with designing internal infrastructure systems, trust and safety tools and customer-facing products or services.

- 3-5 years of security or risk related product management experience, preferably in high-tech

- Outstanding organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent relationship skills; Ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non-technical team members and to work collaboratively and cross-functionally

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to understand business and technical requirements and “speak the language” of the various stakeholders

- Ability to adapt to changing business and technical conditions

- BS in engineering or a technical field
