Strong experience working data center transformation projects to include data center migrations (moves), consolidations, large virtualization/cloud engagements. The resource must have experence performing the specific duties of using SQL queries to analyze data gathered through both automated discovery tools such as BMC ADDM and manually collected data from customer representatives. Expernce transforming that data into depdendency groups and then into packages (groupings based off of dependency and business requirements) to mimimize the impact to the customer environment during transformation events. Experience interviewing application developers, support resources and business owners to gather related data and to review analyzed data for accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills, works well in a team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and the customer. Strong command of the English language needed, Ability to work over the weekends and weeknights as necessary/dictated by the projects requirements.



Qualifications



Must have Demonstrated experience performing data center migration/consolidation dependency group and transformation package creation for large scale data center migration projects.

Must have strong SQL Query writing SQL queries

8-10 years of IT consulting experience

3-5 years of system administration experience

3-5 years of experience in networking, including understanding of network protocols and firewalls

Knowledge and experience with both x86 and RISC based operating systems, e.g. Windows, UNIX, etc…

Demonstrated understanding of Application Infrastructure architecture, including protocols, services, and ports

Strong analytical skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to act as the SME on multiple projects and exhibit leadership skills

3-5 years of application development experience with languages such as C, C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Python or scripting languages

Experience with or understanding of discovery tools, e.g. EMC/Vmware Application Discovery Manager, BMC Atrium Discovery & Dependency Mapping, etc…

Understanding of what protocols are impacted by LAN to WAN migrations

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Visio to build application infrastructure diagrams
