Responsibilities


  • Work closely with Regional Ethics & Compliance Counsel EMEA to identify risks and opportunities throughout the region, and collaboratively address both.

  • Provide E&C-related legal advice on topics such as anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, government procurement, antitrust, privacy, data protection, and use of company assets in relation to country-specific business and public policy programs.

  • Advise on inquiries regarding Google’s Code of Conduct and Ethics & Compliance Policies/Guidelines.

  • Lead and/or assist in investigations into employee-related misconduct.

  • Provide routine training on Ethics & Compliance topics.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • Legal degree.

  • Licensed to practice in their jurisdiction, and have practiced in a related subject area.

  • Experience regarding compliance with anti-bribery laws, especially the US FCPA and the UK Bribery Act.

  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • A combination of law firm (or public) litigation experience, and in-house ethics and compliance experience.

  • Extensive personal and/or professional experience with the region’s customs and practices.

  • Be an effective problem solver

  • Excellent communication skills, and a proven history of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
