The Advertising Sales Managers at LinkedIn India will be responsible for:

Selling LinkedIn’s digital marketing solutions to India’s most sophisticated marketers and helping them connect with our audience of success-driven professionals. You’ll be joining a team of experienced online advertising and marketing experts who are developing breakthrough marketing programs, delivering world-class customer service, and achieving LinkedIn’s goal of being a global leader in the online advertising industry.



The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online and/or traditional media sales at a top publisher or top-ranked Nielsen/Net Ratings site. We're looking for an energetic self-starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in driving revenue and increasing the client base. You must be results driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities. The Media Sales Professional is expected to understand and be able to articulate the overall business objectives of LinkedIn its value proposition to the advertising community.



Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):


  • Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive revenue to their business.

  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships with client senior executives at SVP, VP and CMO levels.

  • Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries.

  • Hit target revenue quota.

  • Pitch new business to advertising agencies and direct clients.

  • Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information.

  • Update and create sales proposals.


Qualifications candidates should possess:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Minimum 6 years experience in sales/business development

  • Experience of working within a dynamic, performance driven environment.

  • Customer-focused with ability to recognize sales opportunities.

  • Relationships with key decision makers at India are leading companies and Top agencies.

  • Demonstrated track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery.

  • Understand how internet advertising technology works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms.

  • MBA degree holders (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
