As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.



The Ad Insights team is a group of data analysts, writers, digital marketers, and strategists working within Google Marketing, and tasked with shaping and delivering - seamlessly, and in real-time - the consumer, industry, and marketing insights that our customers need to succeed. Our sales teams globally support advertisers in making the shift from traditional marketing tactics to more engaging online solutions and platforms. The Customer Marketing Manager develops automated communication channels to support this process. Highly targeted and personalized performance suggestions and insights help advertisers optimize AdWords accounts at scale. The Customer Marketing Manager owns the entire process, from conception, data analysis and sales coordination, to creative development and campaign deployment.



Responsibilities


  • Develop concepts of customer marketing campaigns for our Large Advertiser and Agency business, specifically related to AdWords performance opportunities and insights.

  • Partner closely with sales teams, data analysts and creative partners to develop a scalable communication framework.

  • Develop expert level knowledge of (AdWords) solution tactics and how it relates to growth opportunities for our advertisers and Google.

  • Develop program Key Performance Indicators for all scaled marketing efforts and drive growth against e-mail engagement and product adoption metrics.

  • Manage global/regional POCs and ensure local markets have all necessary tools to deploy scaled marketing campaigns; actively manage program expansion to new markets.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of sales and marketing experience.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • MBA degree.

  • Relevant sales and marketing experience in the internet/online industry. Experience managing data-driven campaigns.

  • Experience in the online industry. Knowledgeable of industry platforms and trends, especially related to email/customer marketing.

  • Solid understanding of the SEM landscape and AdWords.

  • Proven problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities and/or experience as a business analyst in a consulting, management or corporate strategy role.

  • Ability to think strategically, execute effectively, and deliver high-quality results while managing multiple projects and work streams.
