Development Manager – Next Generation Infrastructure



An exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join a very dynamic growing team in one of today's hottest sectors of the IT industry.



This role will be part of the Next Generation Infrastrucutre (NGI) team within Dell’s Enterprise Solutions Group. The NGI team is chartered with the definition and development of the next generation of enterprise IT solutions for Dell. These solutions will be drive in increased levels of integration among the traditional IT domains of servers, storage, and networking and will be increasingly software-driven.



Major Functional Responsibilites



- The NGI Development Manager will own tracking, managing, and communicating the status and health of all engineering activities associated with a given NGI program. That communication will take the form of written updates, oral updates, and presentations to leadership and senior executives within Dell Enterprise Solutions Group.



- The NGI Development Manager will maintain an extended team of development managers, and engineering resources in the various functional areas providing engineering deliverables in suppport of a given NGI program.



- The NGI Development Manager will be the product management advocate within all product development activities. As such the NGI Development Manager must understand the fundamental requirements of a given solution in order to assess the impact of any trade-off discussions uncovered during the product development process and work with product management to align on any decision that will ultimately affect features put forth as requirements.



Qualifications



Qualifications



- Ideal candidates will have experience in managing product development in one of the following areas: networking, storage, servers, systems management



- Ideal candidates will have experience in managing complex software development utilizing more advanced product development process like Agile



- Proven track record in managing complex matrices



- Requires good analytical and communication skills.



- Attention to detail balanced with high level process overview/improvements



- Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science



- 10+ years experience in the IT industry
