About the Position
The Senior Collections Analyst will report to the Global Manager of Credit & Collections and be responsible for the collection of past due accounts. The ideal candidate will work closely with the order-to-cash and Sales teams and must be results driven, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, team environment. This position is based in the historic Guaranty Building on downtown Indianapolis, Indiana's bustling Monument Circle.
Responsibilities
A successful Senior Collections Analyst at Salesforce Marketing Cloud must be able to interpret customer contracts as they impact credit risk analysis, cash flow, billing and collections.
- Respond to customer account inquiries and follow up on issues through resolution via email or phone.
- Investigate delinquent accounts, send collection emails and letters, call customers, and press for prompt payment of outstanding invoices.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and promissory notes as needed.
- Preparing documentation of collections history and customer outstanding balances for unresolved accounts that need to be sent to internal Legal department or outside collections
- Will be required to build relationships across the organization as well as within their immediate collections area to gain support and increase speed of execution of new strategies.
- In addition, the analyst will be responsible for the creation and interpretation of analysis/reporting/validations connected not only to models developed by the team but also ones used in day to day operations and forecasting.
- Tasks will include, but are not limited to: Leading and engaging their peers in day to day operations, reporting and analysis on modeling performance, portfolio trends, performance metrics, strategy performance analytics, development of new collection tools, creation of segmentation strategies, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent planning, time management, communication, research, decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable/credit and collections
- BA/BS degree with emphasis in Business Management or Accounting preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships across departments and with key customer contacts. Need to understand how to reach the decision maker in an organization
- Experience with Accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards and k nowledge of MS Office products including Word and Excel
- Experience using Salesforce.com highly desired
- Fluent in a foreign language highly desired
