Job Responsibilities:
- Support the customer global network by providing network engineering and 2nd and 3rd level technical support.
- Gather requirements, analyze technical networking issues and the develop options and recommendations.
- Coordinate, install, and maintain appropriate systems software and hardware.
Required Skills:
Ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts, as well as knowledge or related networking disciplines
- Solid understanding of WAN/LAN inter networking including design elements, protocol interoperability, network architecture development and requirements for testing / proof of concept.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching
- Experience with Cisco Nexus technologies
- Good experience with Cisco wireless.
- Experience troubleshooting problems related to QoS and Network Performance
- Understanding of Load Balancers in a network environment
- Advanced skills and knowledge and adherence to Change Management processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong customer service skills; interfaces with customers, end users, partners and associates
- Additionally, the candidate must work well within a team, adapt easily to change, and possess the flexibility to travel. Candidate should have a history of working unsupervised while achieving required goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (Engineer preferred)
Minimum Work Experience in Networking areas: 6-8 years
CCNP level certification required
Strong Knowledge on BGP, EIGRP, LAN switching, multilayer switching, Cisco Nexus and QoS.
Good Knowledge on Riverbed WAN Optimizer, CAT OS, Cisco wireless networks.
Experience in WAN protocols i.e. PPP, HDLC, Frame-Relay, MPLS, MetroEthernet and DSL technologies
Good troubleshooting skills
Customer facing skills
