Our Product Quality Operations team has the critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products like Search, Maps, AdWords and AdSense. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic leader. You understand the user's point of view and are passionate about using your combined technical, sales and customer service acumen to protect our users. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and handle abuse and fraud cases at Google speed (read: fast!). Working on Strategy and Planning, you will demonstrate excellence in project management, business judgment and analytical problem solving. You will become a cross product expert while communicating key insights to senior leaders. You will understand Product Quality Operations (PQO) product suite by communicating key “state of the business” metrics and driving the planning process with team executives. You are a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing industry, and you tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.
Responsibilities
- Understand Google's product policy, enforcement, and risk strategy in order to identify key policy and enforcement operational successes, risks and inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. Partner with cross-functional teams in PQO, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Sales to mitigate such risks based on impact.
- Lead complex and time-critical projects for senior leaders by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized approach for resolution.
- Become an expert in the data available in disparate sources, and use this data and your knowledge of statistical methods to execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced models to produce actionable insights.
- Communicate initiative findings to senior leadership by preparing polished presentations and identifying key takeaways.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience identifying risks and opportunities for business improvement by sourcing problems, analyzing data and driving business strategy, as well as measuring the success of those initiatives.
- Experience in managing complex, global and cross functional projects.
- Data-driven and highly analytical, and able to translate data and trends into powerful strategies and compelling messaging.
- Strong project management skills.
