Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working of multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges.
In Marketing Finance we support Google’s Marketing organization. You will partner with and get exposure to senior Marketing VPs and Directors, and key senior product stakeholders. You will help them structure investment ideas, run their operations, measure the impact of Marketing investments and optimize ROI. This is a role with a huge opportunity to impact the decisions being made in this exciting growth product area.
Work with Google Marketing to help figure out what works and what doesn’t. Partner with our Google brand VP to plan, measure and optimize our investment in the Google brand. You will help scale and plan global investments and be someone who will drive thought leadership around how to measure and value our brand marketing. You will work with the marketing team to create standard approaches that can be rolled out across other campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial planning of the Marketing budget.
- Create analyses to drive budget and headcount decisions.
- Help set metrics and report results.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Engineering teams to develop tools and reporting systems that drive efficiency and deliver results.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree with evidence of quantitative coursework such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, or finance or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience supporting and challenging business partners decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet software, Hyperion Essbase, and Oracle. SQL, Python, R, or other coding experience.
- Proven track record of creating robust analysis that translates into business decisions.
- Ability to develop relationships with business partners and other cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated track record of leadership, creativity and great business judgment.
