About the Position
The Slingshot Internship Program objective is to recruit top talent as potential future full time employees while adding immediate business value and creating Orange ambassadors. Slingshot is a paid internship program that provides driven students with real life job experiences. The program offers a fast-paced learning environment where interns can contribute to ExactTarget in a variety of areas including technology, marketing, and consulting. Over the 11-week period, Slingshots will spend their time at ExactTarget:
•Making important business decisions, completing challenging assignments, and producing resume-worthy work every single day.
•Slingshots will complete at least two professional projects, which will have a positive impact on the business & our customers
•Participating in the Professional Development series, diving deep into relevant topics such as: personal branding, building your network, and social media
•Building relationships outside of the Orange office by taking part in social outings
•Networking and engaging with Executive Team leaders during the Lunch-n-Learn series
•Spending a day in someone else’s shoes at ExactTarget during Job Shadows, providing visibility into different areas of the business
•Taking part in giving back to the Indianapolis community during philanthropy events such as the Dayspring Center Mini Golf Classic and the Gleaner Food Bank Day of Service
Requirements
•Currently in Sophomore or Junior year of college
•GPA 3.0 or higher
•Foundation of technical knowledge in order to succeed in job function
•Overall work style is effective and productive in terms of time management, planning and setting priorities; ability to execute and follow through on commitments across a variety of work challenges
•Problem solving skills: looking beyond the obvious, and use logical thinking to derive appropriate and accurate solutions
•Accountability: display a conscientious commitment to getting the job done while meeting specified time targets; taking personal responsibility and ownership of actions
•Initiative: seek out additional responsibility for the benefit of the larger group, while still completing core assignments; proactively can identify areas for process improvement and takes action to implement change
•Communication: express ideas clearly and effectively both in oral and written communications; practice active listening; asking questions
•Flexibility: willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
