About the Position

This Program Manager will be directly responsible for the successful operations of one or more client programs. A program is an ongoing Services engagement in which a team of consultants is aligned against the continuous execution of work on behalf of a specific client.



In this role, the Program Manager will own the relationship between ExactTarget and one or more key client accounts. A successful Program Manager leverages deep application knowledge in combination with business and marketing domain expertise to drive a successful program.



Responsibilities

• Direct the evolution of the program through continuous risk and optimization assessments.

• Oversee teams executing work on behalf of the program to ensure successful completion of deliverables.

• Manage the program’s Services budget, and analyze the overall profitability of the account.

• Ensure statements of work properly align ExactTarget’s products and services with the client’s business and technology needs.

• Manage the client services team including Project Manager(s), Campaign Manager and campaign production staff.

• Coordinate and manage sub-contract resources as needed in the role.



The Program Manager will accomplish these responsibilities by becoming deeply embedded in the client’s business and processes, so as to become a subject matter expert on the client’s needs. Program management requires frequent communications with and on behalf of the client – sometimes at an executive level – to scope new pieces of work, direct projects, manage client expectations, escalate risks, and report on performance.

• Proven ability to compel unity and productivity in a team

• Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Flexibility to travel

• Consulting background with previous work in a Big 5 consulting firm, or a marketing or technology firm

• Experience managing client service teams and personnel

• Past experience with defining specifications and requirements (business and/or technical) using a structured methodology

• Project management experience, including creation of project plans, project schedules and associated project materials

• Experience as an executive-level digital marketing expert is a plus

• Four-year degree is required

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in consulting and project management

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
