Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Consultant



We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Consultant to work in the Dell Services Dynamics AX practice.



Role overview



The Technical consultant will have responsibility across the life cycle of the project especially during development and testing phases of the project , Primary responsibilities include using the AX development tools to customize the solution as per customer requirements.



This is a Bangalore based position that could require travel based on project needs.



Role Responsibilities

MS Dynamics AX 2012 Technical consultant Performs the following Duties

· Ensure Development based on Microsoft best practice guidelines

· Work with the Project Manager and team members to ensure ontime and within budget delivery of the project.

· Develop zero defect code based on best practices and testing guidelines

· Work on creating high quality documentation including test plans, technical design documents , deployment documents etc

· Work closely to promote development objects across environments

· Working closely with the quality teams to ensure adherence to development best practices during the project lifecycle

· Work on Practice recommended monitoring project defect tracking tools

· Assist in defect closing, defect tracking and defect root cause analysis

· Assist with review of functional requirement and design documents. Develop and own technical design documents

· Active participation in discussions with the client and project teams wherever required

· Work with team members on various aspects of the AX development activities

· Maintaining targeted billable utilization of upwards of 70%



Requirements

Successful individuals will be self-starters with the following attributes:

• Must have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.


• Min 4-7 years of work experience


• Min 2 project experience in working in AX 2012


• Min 3 year’s experience in working with Dynamics AX any version 2012 /2009/ 4.0


• Min 3 years technical experience with any ERP software. Experience in Dynamics preferred.


• Familiar with and experienced in:

  • Related Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio and TFS, Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft BizTalk Server and Active Directory.
  
  
  
  


• Willingness to complete applicable product certification exams.


• Should have either of the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 certifications:

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Installation and Configuration
  
  
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - Implementation and Maintenance
  
  
  • Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases

• Very strong knowledge in Morphx, X++ and Visual Studio


• Must have good working knowledge of related AX technologies in any 2 of the areas
