The Google for Work Cloud Platform team is dedicated to helping customers execute magical new ideas on Google’s worldwide infrastructure. As a Cloud Platform Sales Specialist, you bring Google Cloud Platform to organizations, with a focus on commercial companies. You bring Google's portfolio into big and small companies around the world, and handling complex customer and stakeholder relationships comes easy to you.



Responsibilities


  • Achieve quarterly goals and generate and qualify all leads and opportunities

  • Work with Cloud Platform Partners to develop campaigns and drive new pipeline

  • Serve as the primary customer contact for all sales and adoption related activities

  • Leverage Google sales engineering and marketing resources and provide input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them

  • Build and maintain executive relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and act as a trusted advisor to the customer





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 3 years of sales experience

  • 2 years of field sales experience in the technology industry





  • Preferred qualifications

  • 6 years of hands-on sales experience with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding goals

  • 5 years of field sales experience in the technology industry

  • 1 year of platform or infrastructure as a service experience

  • Experience promoting enterprise software and/or SaaS solutions

  • Deep understanding of platform infrastructure as a service marketplaces, key players, and technical factors driving competitive landscape

  • Understanding of how various cloud technologies work together to be able to drive deeper technology adoption within the existing large account base
