Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.



A Global Account Planner requires a sharp, analytical mind and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be both creative and quantitative in this role. Armed with deep knowledge of Google products, marketing trends and individual client needs, you will brainstorm, develop and refine compelling, customized marketing plans and then deliver them to the Sales team in advance of client-facing meetings. You identify integrated, data-driven business opportunities based on internal and external tools analysis and work with Account Management (AM) and Account Executives (AE) to identify business opportunities.



Responsibilities


  • Create cohesive and compelling narratives/proposals based off of rich insights to inform/empower clients and drive growth.

  • Conduct robust research and create simple, compelling insights from disparate data sources - the massive amounts of internal search data, internal consumer research tools and third-party data.

  • Develop thought leadership that helps set direction for brands and inspire teams to develop engaging ideas which help clients reach and exceed projected ROI.

  • Keep the team up to date on industry/competitive trends. Advise on strategy/industry updates outside of Google with client where appropriate.

  • Manage relationship with client media research team/internal team and execute custom research based on particular client needs in relation to media buy measurement. Advise team on appropriate research solutions for brands/buys.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media.

  • Experience in marketing/media and strategic planning.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience creating/designing compelling presentations.

  • Experience with primary/secondary research methods and consumer behavior analysis. Experience with research tools such as comScore, Nielsen, etc.

  • Knowledge of traditional as well as contemporary/online marketing tactics and strategy.

  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.

  • Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
