System Testing S.H.A.R.P Group within the Oracle databaseserver division is a highly respected, sought after group with a long trackrecord of success. The group focuses on improving stability, high availability,reliability and performance (S.H.A.R.P) of complete Oracle product stackincluding Oracle Solaris, Enterprise Linux, Database, Oracle Fusion Middlewaresand Fusion Applications in enterprise computing environments e.g., OracleSuperCluster, Exadata and Exalogic.
The team is responsible to design, develop and carry outstress/integration/system/performance testing of enterprise applications,simulating real world scenarios, and provides best practices recommendations tointernal and external customers.

Job Description:
System testing (S.H.A.R.P) group has immediate openings in OracleAsia Development Center to work on building the next generation complete testapplication stack for the Oracle Database, Oracle Global Single Instance (GSI)and Oracle Public Cloud (cloud.oracle.com)
It is the golden opportunity to learn Oracle within Oracle. Thechallenging position will deal with the entire Oracle product stack from groundup including operating system, storage, network, Oracle RAC database, OracleFusion Middleware to the Oracle Fusion applications, with focus on the Oracledatabase. Engineer will expose to latestOracle technologies on top engineered systems including Oracle Exadata, OracleSuper Cluster and Oracle Exalogic. At the same time, various programmingtechnologies will be used so as to implement fully automated and effectivesimulation for real world enterprise applications. The position can be viewedas a combination (but not limited to) of application developer, databaseadministrator, performance expert and solution designer/architect. Thoseexperiences are extremely valuable toward the building solid foundations ofOracle product stack for future system architecture integration and consultingwork.
Required competenciesand technical skills:
- Design and implement the next generation stressand scalable test suites for Oracle RAC Database on Exadata or SuperCluster, OraclePublic Cloud (cloud.oracle.com) and Oracle Global Single Instance (GSI) inOracle SuperCluster;
- Enhance the test tools/infrastructure, aim to anautomated testing framework with flexibility and simplicity.
- Deploy, Configure, Administer and troubleshootall layers of the Oracle Technology stack for the engineered systems;
- Execute test suites, analyze the performancereports, and identify bottlenecks or defects of the products in differentlayers, logs and tracks product defects as encountered.;
- Collaborate with various development and ITteams to resolve the problems encountered;
- Install and maintain third party tools asrequired
Qualification:
- BS/MS in CS or equivalent experience and Enthusiasmin Oracle technologies and enterprise computing;
- At least 2 years experience in leading a technicalteam in database environments and configuring/or testing/or administrating inOracle 10g/11g. (Production/Testing environment);
- Good understanding of database architecture andterminology. OCP or OCM are big plus;
- Strong programming skills in one or more oflanguage, e.g., Java, C++, PL/SQL, and familiar with scripting languages;
- Must have experiences in any one of the followingplatforms: Linux, Solaris,IBM-AIX and HP-UX.;
- System performance analysis skill and experienceare highly preferred;
- Good verbal and written communication skills inEnglish;
- Quick and willing to learn, self-motivator,attention to details and team player. Ability to multitask and deliver underpressure.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
