Retention & Development Account Executive, Preferred Public Accounts - Pennsylvania (Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, York)



Dell, Inc. is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Account Executive to join our Preferred Public Accounts sales team. Your sales background and experience will be essential in helping you develop a territory plan, sales call strategy, and to grow new lines of business to Public Sector accounts. You will effectively communicate Dell's value proposition, strategies, services, and products to each client and sell the full portfolio of offerings available from Dell. The Account Executive will lead sales pursuits as well as work with multiple cross-functional organizations to meet the needs of the customer.



The Account Executive (“AE”) will focus on selling to both Commercial and Public Sector Retention and Development Accounts. AE will develop partnership between the company and accounts through the coordination of sales, contracts, technical supports teams and internal sales on specific accounts. The AE will perform long range planning and is responsible for increasing account penetration, customer satisfaction and sales growth for long term results.



Role Responsibilities



- Responsible for growing business with targeted accounts in the Pennsylvania



territory



- Proactively positions a positive business outcome to the customer’s current business problem



- Drive and execute market and account management activities, qualifying and developing sales opportunities, leading an account team and leveraging specialty resources and partners



- Drives vertical expertise within the segment and facilitates feedback to the product group and business operations on customer requirements



- Experienced in building virtual teams and using a consultative selling approach while managing the entire sales cycle



- Penetrate addressable whitespace in existing accounts



- Identify strategic accounts and convert to net-new buyers



- Drive strategies to move customers through the relationship lifecycle to capture the highest share of customer lifetime value



QualificationsRequirements



- Undergraduate degree and 6+ years’ equivalent sales experience



- IT sector experience; selling enterprise based technology solutions - Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quota



- Demonstrated ability to deliver practical business solutions based on enterprise understanding of the customer’s operational capability and total asset/value portfolio



- Extensive experience managing business relationships



- Strong business acumen with network of existing customers, partners and business contacts



- Providing end-to end account management
