Job Summary:

A positive, energetic and motivated technical individual to serve as the primary point of contact for all customers contacting the Dell DCCA and MEDITECH Service Desk. This is a 7x24x365 support position working 2nd or 3rd shift. The individual will, through use of documented procedures take initial customer support calls or emails, log information in CRM incident management system and provide Level 1 monitoring and support to resolve technical issues. Where necessary, manage the involvement of in house and third party resources to drive open support issues to resolution. We are seeking a person who adapts to situations with ease, functions well under pressure, and can juggle multiple tasks. This is a key role in a very busy support department.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Professionally administer and support incoming customer technical calls and email.

· Open, update, and close Inquiries in Dell Helpdesk problem management application, (Sugar CRM, Siebel and OPAS).

· Place follow up phone calls to customers and hardware vendors.

· Monitoring and basic system troubleshooting of hardware and applications.

· Perform basic administration and troubleshooting various components including server hardware and backups.



QualificationsDesired Skills:

• Dependable and willing to work in a team environment

• Ability to adapt and function effectively in a high pressure, rapidly changing technical environment.

• Service Desk / Help Desk experience, 1+ Years

• Experience supporting Linux, VMWare, Windows Server or Citrix, 1+ Years

• Experience supporting EqualLogics or Compellent storage technology

• Experience troubleshooting networks (TCP/IP, DNS)



Minimum Educational Requirements:

College degree or 2+ Years job experience
