Revenue Accountant

LinkedIn is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue team. Responsibilities include revenue recognition and contract review, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and revenue recognition policy, and business partnership. The candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organization and communication skills, and be very hands-on.



Job responsibilities include:

• Month end/quarter end close: JE for revenue accrual, adjustment, or reclass; reconciliation of revenue and deferred revenue accounts.


• Work closely with Sales and Legal in Contract Negotiations.


• Perform contract review per Company's revenue recognition policy.


• Involvement in the set-up and documentation of policies.


• Prepare various ongoing analysis such as BESP analysis and revenue recognition recast under EITF 08-01.


• Identify and recommend process improvements for the betterment of the Company.


• Assist with SOX compliance and internal/external audits;


• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years accounting experience, preferably with revenue accounting experience


• Experience with SOX 404 internal control assessment and risk assessment.


• Experience with process improvement projects and ability to manage multiple on-going projects.


• Diligent, highly efficient and accurate, with extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management skills.


• Ability to initiate communication, effectively follow through and provide status updates.


• Ability to work independently and productively in a dynamic environment, as well as being a solutions-oriented team player.


• Professional Accounting Qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
