Technical Solution Architect

ABOUT THE POSITION



The Technology Architect is a key role within the Services team responsible for delivering against customer business goals. This includes developing a deep understanding of Marketing Cloud platform and capabilities to create new and innovative solutions for our customers. The Technology Architect is highly engaged in obtaining a customer's business and technical requirements and architecting a comprehensive solution. In addition to supporting customers, as a Technology Architect you will provide guidance, validation, and expertise to other members of the Global Services organization. This position is engaged with multiple areas of the business and works closely with product, sales, sales engineers, and support to deliver world-class services.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Be a solutions expert. Understand the Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, REST APIs, SDKs, scripting language (AMPScript), relational data model and capabilities.

  • Create, manage and present an actionable BRD/FSD (Blueprint) that aligns a client's business needs to that of the Marketing Cloud Solution

  • Execute advanced configuration/development of solutions

  • Provide technical consultation and validation of solutions for customers, services consultants, and partners.

  • Author and execute test plans for solutions and configurations

  • Remain current with global industry regulations and best practices including but not limited to the MMA and CTIA

  • Contribute to the advancement of the Services practice by documenting solutions, creating templates, and sharing best practices via practice meetings and internal knowledge repositories.

  • Work closely with global services, sales, support, and products team to support specific customer requests and escalations.

  • Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations. Not expected to exceed 25%.




REQUIREMENTS:


  • Four year college degree (Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency

  • Proficient with server side web development design languages, scripting tools and protocols such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, HTTP, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, JQuery

  • Proficient developing SQL and experience with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server

  • Experience with at least 2 client side programming languages such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python

  • Familiarity with SOAP and REST API

  • Familiar with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce or web analytics preferred

  • Truly enjoy interacting with customers to help understand and solve their problems

  • Demonstrated experience in transforming vision into reality
