Job Description
Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking a Technical Writer I in our Nashville, TN office. The selected candidate will be responsible to revise or write standardized material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment. This worker receives technical direction from supervisor or senior writer, notes or manuals containing operating procedures and details manufacturer's catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment. This writer may have access to blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail. Under general supervision, the Technical Writer writes and edits technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication. This person researches and analyzes available literature and verifies copy with appropriate departments, and may coordinate production and distribution of materials.
