Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working of multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges.
You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial gurus. You'll keep senior management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance and risk; assess business/market opportunities and inform/recommend prioritization decisions.
- Oversee all aspects of the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes - ensure accuracy and predictability of results and key metrics. Develop and maintain P&L.
- Collaborate with and manage cross-functional teams (Tax, Accounting, Financial Operations, Internal Audit, M&A, etc.) to provide end-to-end financial support.
- Drive professional development of your team members by providing significant opportunities and coaching on how to effectively support senior business partners and enable them to excel in the global Finance organization.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment, including FP&A and project management experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet software, Hyperion Essbase, and Oracle. SQL, Python, R, or other coding experience.
- Strong problem solving ability combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate clearly and influence leadership teams.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills and some project management experience.
- Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills.
