SonicWALL’s industry-leading Next-Generation Firewalls and Unified Threat Management (UTM) Firewalls complement Dell’s security solutions portfolio, enabling Dell to offer customers a broader range of enterprise offerings. We currently have openings for Network Security Solutions Architect covering clients in various US markets. The ideal candidate will work remote with regular regional/territory travel to client sites.



The Firewall Software Solutions Architect is a senior technical position in our Security Professional Services organization. This role is the technical foundation of the Security Firewall Practice and you will be assigned to strategic customers with complex security and firewall needs. You will require an advanced skill set and experience gained from years of industry experience in architecting, designing and implementing other successful security solutions.



Role Responsibilities



- Be a part of an interdepartmental Security Services team, with the expectation of - delivering and configuring Dell Next-Generation Firewall solutions



- This position requires travel to customer sites for technical implementation, delivery of large scale heterogeneous Firewall solutions, and for supporting sales of solutions. Travel will vary by quarter and be around 50%-70% yearly.



- Employed as industry experts and are required to maintain a level of expertise which allows them to be positioned as such



- Maintain and contribute best practices knowledge



- Involved in business development by assisting sales staff in assessing potential application of products and services to meet customer needs.



- Conducts customer needs analysis, project scoping and coordinates with internal specialist and inter-department activities



- Act as a delivery engineer within our strategic Dell Firewall Services specialization team and will also provide technical leadership for special projects.



- Demonstrate expert level knowledge of network security topologies and conditions.



- Engineer, configure and lead the design, configuration and deployment of Dell Firewalls and other Dell network security devices



QualificationsRequirements



- 10+ years of experience as an Information Security Architect, or Consultant



- Experience designing and deploying network and security firewall services for large organizations required.



- Dell irewall implementation or other large, enterprise firewalls experience preferred.



- Experience with one or more of the following product suites is necessary: Dell SonicWALL, Cisco (ASA, Sourcefire, ISE), Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, Watchguard, Barracuda, McAfee.



- Must be able to travel 2 - 5 days per week.



- Demonstrated ability to successfully execute requirements based on a SOW and project plans



- B.A./B.S. in CS/CIS/MIS/Business or related field equivalent



Preferences



- Strong experience of leading complex enterprise projects using a structured approach



- Good technical knowledge of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, load balancers, proxies)



- Hands on skills & experience in any of the below is desirable



- Network devices - Routers, switches, load balancers, WAAS etc



- Security devices (in addition to firewalls) -, IDS/IPS, proxies & web gateways



- Endpoint solutions



- Linux / Unix environments



- Excellent technical knowledge of:



- Networking principals - TCP/IP, routing, DNS



- Security principals - VPN, encryption, risks & compliance, defense in depth, business continuity, CIA principles etc



- Strong experience of architecting/designing enterprise solutions (application services, network or security)



- Develop security policies, processes & procedures



- Documentation skills
