The Google People Services, Operations function is the services and program management group within People Operations that makes HR stuff easy and intuitive for Googlers. Our global team optimizes people processes, from problem definition to execution. We partner with teams across People Operations and in engineering to bring innovation and technology to the way we attract, retain and grow Googlers worldwide. We focus on providing an amazing experience to past, present and future Googlers, and work in Google’s fast-paced environment to deliver 100+ operational services, manage the contingent workforce and implement HR programs across 70+ countries. Regardless of location or level of experience, members of the Operations team have the opportunity to create, develop and implement some of the most complex global operations around the world.
The Contingent Workforce team at Google is responsible for the strategy and operations governing all temporary workers, outsource providers and independent consultants across Google sites globally. In partnership with a strategic MSP partner we strive to deliver best in class service to our internal clients in order to meet their critical business priorities. In this role you will be responsible for leveraging data, metrics and industry best practices to determine possible areas for improvement and focus.
Responsibilities
- Guide and consult clients on appropriate talent strategy surrounding temps, vendors and contractors in order to meet critical staffing needs by building relationships via regular updates and communications.
- Work with Legal and internal business leaders to implement standard policies and procedures around local on-boarding and compliance requirements for contingent labor.
- Leverage external vendor resources to support the internal staffing needs by establishing and monitoring appropriate SLAs/metrics to meet agreed upon staffing goals.
- Deliver Contingent Workforce related training to internal clients.
- Constantly assess process steps to identify opportunities for improvement.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in Corporate Vendor Management or Strategic Staffing Client Management.
Preferred qualifications
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels while building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fluid, unstructured environment and ability to produce results with little supervision.
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and has significant experience with managing provider relationships with Key Performance Metrics and Service Level Agreements.
- Able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
