Director – Corporate Strategy/Strategic Planning for Dell Services.



Strategic Planning team is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Director – Corporate Strategy/Strategic Planning for Dell Services. We are a small team composed of former top tier management consultants responsible for defining and driving strategic programs for Dell Services working collaborative with all Dell business units (Client Group, Enterprise Group and Software Group) as well as with central Corporate Development. The team is responsible for both organic and inorganic strategic programs. Organically this includes: multi-year strategic plan, financial plan, market entry assessment opportunities, profit maximizing opportunity assessment etc. Inorganically: Acquisition assessment, due diligence support and post-merger integration.



As a key team member of the team you will own and drive strategy programs delivering insights, developing business cases, providing input into strategic planning process, making recommendations for investments in organic and inorganic areas. You will work with highly complex programs, gain exposure to senior level executives (Vice Presidents and Executive Director) and establish senior relationships across Dell. Your work will be more than theoretical – it will be implemented. The team works very closely with the operational teams to ensure execution of recommendations takes foothold and is implemented correctly – this also provides unique opportunity get direct exposure to operating teams.



Traditional career paths are to either (i) progress within the team or (ii) pursue a senior leadership operating role. Role is best structures for someone from a consulting background that plans on going towards a General Manager role.



Qualifications Required skills and job qualifications



· Extremely methodical approach to work planning and execution delivering concrete results.



· Able to effectively interact with various levels of management.



· Makes data driven, fact-based decisions, applying sounds business judgment.



· Flexible to adapt to changes and challenges. Confortable with ambiguity.



· Quantitative. Strong analytical comfort level.



· Assumes personal ownership & accountability for results and execution.



· Thinks independently and structures work accordingly.



· Expert in Excel and Power Point.



· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively applies 80/20.



· Effective at multi-tasking and working on a highly cross functional team.



· Bachelor’s degree with focus on quantities discipline preferred.



· MBA with prior experience at a top management consulting firm (post MBA)
