Senior Software Engineer, Chatter Feeds, Back End Java Development

Locations: Vancouver, Seattle or San Francisco



We are seeking a back end Java software engineer to help shape and drive the future of Chatter. This position can be based in our Vancouver, Seattle, or San Francisco offices.



Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with and synthesize inputs from technical and non-technical stakeholders to build a shared vision across Product and Technology

• Balance long-term platform velocity with short-term customer needs

• Deliver high-quality, timely, supportable and maintainable code on a routine basis

• Write scalable, performant code that customers love

• Negotiate and honor cross-team agreements

• Master our development process and culture, then improve it



Experience/Skills Desired:

• Demonstrated expertise in building highly scalable systems, including multi-tiered caching, threading, transactions, and query optimization

• Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design skills; experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design, and related areas

• Experience with language and API design

• Experience with web technology (HTML, JavaScript and CSS)

• Experience and comfort working in an Agile/Scrum/Lean environment
