Oracle is at an important turning point of its Engineered Systems Strategy. After having redefined how Modern Datacenters should be operated with a new range of Systems such as Exadata and Super Cluster, Oracle is tackling the storage market with the same philosophy of tight integration between our Software and Storage Stack. Some of the key features of ournew database release 12c can only be exploited with our Storage which is a very big driver of growth and big area of OPEX and CAPEX savings for our customers


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Achieve Disk Sales Revenue/Growth Goal by positioning business cases and value proposition to decision makers.

  • Qualify Disk Deals and focus on the ones that can be closed faster with the larger amount

  • Execute the Sales Cycle, Orchestrate the Sales Team to focus on closing the deal

  • Negotiating the value and the business case with thecustomer procurement

  • Focusing on Closure

  • Understanding Competition and able to develop deal-specific competitive strategy

  • Evangelize the Channel to engage resellers to open more opportunities and work asadditional sales force

  • Provide accurate forecast and pipeline information

  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners

  • Organise and lead customer appointments, qualify opportunities, manage proposals andformal customer presentations

  • Align with the Oracle Team to attach Oracle Disk Solutions to Oracle on Oracle proposals.


Scope:



  • Act as the Disk business owner for assigned Accounts and Territories.

  • Responsible for managing Disk opportunities throughout the lifetime of the sale(qualification, prioritization, direct or partner resource allocation, closure)

  • Participate in account planning for very large customers.

  • Prioritise account engagement and provide coverage plan including selected partners

  • Work with Oracle partner sales organization to ensure selected partners sell Disk Portfolio on covered accounts • Facilitate knowledge transfer to customers and channel partners.

  • Winning new Disk sales revenue/margin in line with targets in a timely and predictable fashion

  • Developing and maintaining a strategy and product sales plans to address the designated industry sector

  • Generating and following up on leads and qualifying and prioritizing opportunities

  • Identifying and working with the appropriate people in Oracle and the Customer

  • Developing,extending and maintaining relationships with the appropriate staff

  • Facilitating and nurturing Senior Management relationships to generate active sponsorship of Oracle

  • Maintaining an understanding of Oracle’s strategic direction and interpreting its relevance to the industry sector

  • Maintaining an excellent awareness of Oracle’s current and future technology products and services
