  We on the Performance Engineering team diagnose, find, and resolve performance and scalability challenges before they reach production. We proactively analyze and optimize the service to maintain salesforce.com's position as the world's most high-performing, scalable, and reliable enterprise cloud computing platform. We use the most innovative methodologies, deep architecture expertise, cutting-edge automation, and advanced tools in the industry to maintain our leadership position.
  
  
  
  The Performance Engineering team at Salesforce.com leads by example by maintaining the performance of the application stack which takes a load of Over 1 billion transactions a day! . The team helped salesforce.com become the first enterprise cloud computing company with full transparency into our platform's performance trust.salesforce.com .
  
  
  
  This specific position is for a Performance Tools Developer whose responsibilities would include:
  
  
  

1. Develop and enhance the Performance Engineering Tools (Web application developed using Ruby on Rails)
   
   
   


2. Identify Performance Bottlenecks in various applications and provide suggestions to the development team to improve the product performance.
   
   
   


3. Help Product development teams in resolving performance issues and improving the Performance of their products.
   
   
   


4. High Level Expertise on Ruby on Rails, Web Application Development and Java.
   
   
   


5. Preference would be given if the candidate has working experience using JMeter, JVM Profilers and Unix Scripting.
