Google wants to reward Googlers in meaningful ways, and our employee stock program is an important part of doing this. The Stock Administration team oversees all of our global stock programs to help Googlers make the most of their investments. As a member of the team, you provide stock plan analysis and drive innovative changes in our program by finding best practices and developments in laws. You partner with other functions such as Legal (to ensure ongoing compliance) and Finance (for internal and external reporting). You're able to help those who are unfamiliar with stocks navigate the complexities of the system using clear communications and training resources created in partnership with the People Operations team. When Googlers ask, you listen carefully and constantly look for ways that give Googlers the best bang for their equity buck.



As a Stock Administrator, you will be joining an effective Stock Admin group to help administer Google’s innovative stock plan programs. We are looking for a well-rounded and adaptable top performer who will be a key contributor in a fast-paced growth environment. In addition to standard stock administration duties, the role will include the implementation of tax compliance programs, design of enhanced audit processes, cross-functional engagement with our Engineering teams to develop new stock admin tools and employee education. You will have a proven stock admin track record in global, high tech companies and you are a quick learner with the desire to excel in all areas of work. Your work history should also demonstrate the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.



Responsibilities


  • Manage administration of Google’s Stock Plan including grant processing, release processing, record-keeping, accounting, payroll and tax report preparation, audits and reconciliation report preparation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and preparation and distribution of Stock Plan communication materials.

  • Administer stock database (Sapphire) and tax withholding processes.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly audit reports.

  • Create key controls and audit functions.

  • Design and implement new stock admin tools and design/maintain internal stock admin websites.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of stock administration experience.

  • International stock plan experience.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • CEP Certification along with strong experience in operations and compliance issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform Key Control Audits, ability to write scripts and automate audit functions. Knowledge of SSAE16 assessments and SOX controls.

  • Solid understanding of tax issues related to equity comp.

  • Strong spreadsheet proficiency.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong command of spreadsheet skills and management. Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks simultaneously. Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated history of automating processes.
